Formerly known as Moe's Triathlon, the Bike Doctor is proud to announce that we are renaming our community event to #BelikeBruce Triathlon, in honour and loving memory of our friend and fellow athlete, Bruce Gordon. Bruce was a race director of Moe’s Triathlon for several years, and along with his family, provided support and encouragement to people to become part of active lifestyle communities.

EVERYBODY WELCOME

Bike Doctor’s BeLIkeBruce Triathlon is meant to be friendly to beginners, but also provide a competitive environment for experienced athletes. Beginning in 2018 the race is being run through the non profit cycling club, Bike Doctor Detours, and will proceed as a fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer research. As part of this BeLikeBruce event, following the triathlon there will also be a CrossFit community workout—another community Bruce was a part of.

RAISING AWARENESS AND FUNDS

The Gordon family has created the BeLikeBruce platform with the goal to advocate, take action and create awareness of the illness that took Bruce's life and changed theirs forever. The BeLikeBruce Triathlon intends to help achieve these goals by accepting monetary donations and directing a portion of the entry fees to pancreatic cancer research being done at the world class University of Saskatchewan Cancer Research Centre. With the link provided, you are able to make personal donaions to The U of S,  College of Medicine with a note to direct the funds to the Bruce Gordon Memorial Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

GET INTO THE SPIRIT

It was sometimes hard to tell if Bruce loved the event, or trash talking his friends more. So remember: Get out and do the BeLikeBruce Triathlon. There will be a community to support you. Have fun. Surprise yourself. Race hard! And if that’s your buddy ahead of you, catch up and give him or her the gears!

In the words of our dear friend - in every race, as in life, always remember:
